Here's the skinny: Nick Diaz will seek out the assistance of Las Vegas-based plastic surgeon Frank Stile in order to repair the considerable scar tissue that has developed around his eyes. Kit Cope, the man who cornered the 24-year-old in his failed attempt to win the EliteXC lightweight title at EliteXC "Renegade" on Saturday in Corpus Christi, Texas, made the announcement after the bout. Here's a little more info from Kit Cope: "He didn't get hit with anything hard," Cope said. "It's just that he's got some gnarly cuts. There were a couple of fights [in his past] where he got cut and then band aided it, you know... didn't get any good stitches, so he's got a lot of scar tissue. You breathe on the guy, and he gets cut." A board certified plastic surgeon and avid MMA fan, Stile has been training with Cope, a former muay Thai champion, at his gym in Las Vegas. "We're going to get his eyes fixed up," Cope said. "There's something they can do to actually fix the scars that makes them a lot smaller. [Stile is] going to have him fixed up so he doesn't split open so easy.
