11.09.2007 - 1:10:00 PM - UFC in negotiations with CBS

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer had a note in his daily update about the UFC possibly negotiating with CBS to air prime time network specials. Here's the note:

Scott Collins of the Los Angeles Times has reported that CBS is talking with UFC about producing one or more prime time network specials. The writers strike is making the talks more serious, because the network would be in need of first-run unscripted prime time programming when the shows on the schedule run out of fresh episodes.
Who would have thought the WGA strike would effect the UFC? It seems as though CBS is trying to find programming for whenever the fresh episodes of their hit TV shows run out. Either way the UFC on CBS would be awesome. And if it's live you can't really go wrong there.
